One of my favorite films ever. An incredible and impacting take on the person of Jesus Christ.

thought provoking - but the dubbed version doesn't really do the movie justice. See the subtitle version

Intelligent without the Dan Brown hostility for anything biblical. The most original film about Jesus I've seen; beaming with imagination and confidence. Fresh, provocative, funny. The images and situations are unforgettable. I love the scene where the two 'Mary's escort the dying Jesus to the subway...

A great movie shot in Montreal AND about Montreal??? Yup, who would have thought! But this picture perfect retelling of the Christ story is it. It's not preachy; this movie has none of that Left Behind mentality where non-believers deserve to die in apocalyptic fire bull$hit that is the standard, occasionally sugarcoated message in Christian media); true love here is given to all, with no hypocrisy and no selfishness. Daniel Coulombe wants to make the world a better place for all, not just for self-identified Christians. And that message is what matters.

So good it almost makes you want to be a Christian. Almost. Fantastic film that updates the Jesus story to modern day Montreal, with a believable and affecting "resurrection". Bluteau is brilliant.
