JCVD (2008)

Between his tax problems and his legal battle with his wife for the custody of his daughter, these are hard times for the action movie star who finds that even Steven Seagal has pinched a role from him! This fictionalized version of Jean-Claude Van Damme returns to the country of his birth to seek the peace and tranquility he can no longer enjoy in the United States, but inadvertently gets involved in a bank robbery with hostages.

One of Van Dammes greatest performances as an actor, self-reflecting on all the mistakes he has made which makes for an honest and emotional performance.

i was blown away with everything about this movie. Especially Van Damme's performance. Really makes you view the actor in a whole new light. Before when you thought of Van Damme you couldnt help but snicker or roll your eyes. I know longer take the man for granted. He seriously could have one an oscar or his role as himself. fans of his movies that havent seen JCVD need to see it. it brings a whole new love and respect to the action icon. this film was a very polite "F-U" from Van Damme to all the people who talk bad of him. Great film! im Glad he made this.

When they told me about this film the first thought I had was "Van damme? no way!" But after a brief synopsis from a friend I was craving for watching it. And I was not disappointed. It's a great film... you should absolutely give it a chance.

Uma pincelada na carreira de Jean Claude Van Damme por ele mesmo. Muito bom filme!

I know you don't believe me, but this film is a HOME-RUN. Its so fucking good that it will just blindside you every 20 minutes or so. He could have SERIOUSLY been considered for an oscar. See this movie.
