charming little movie, filmed very "low budget" but the characters are very involving and after a slow start, you start caring about them like they were real people.

Although Scherfig occasionally strays too far into the absurd, the movie is a refreshing change from formulaic romantic comedies.

I just saw this last night. It's a very warm, heartfelt Danish film about complete strangers that want to spice up their lives by learning Italian. It's definitely romantic without trying too hard.

If you think 'Art House' is inaccessible to the average joe then watch this movie. Its Dogme 95 but this in no way impedes the enjoyment of the movie. In fact it enhances it by putting emphasis on good dialogue and acting. Dont be put off by the 1st 10-20minutes, it IS a comedy despite the initial harrowing start. Lone Scherfig rules!
