When her inability to commit leads to a breakup with her girlfriend, opera-loving writer Allegra winds up in the bed of amiable professor Philip. He is so smitten with Allegra that he dumps his lover, Grace, and convinces Allegra to continue their affair. When Allegra meets Grace, sparks fly, and she begins a parallel romance, unaware that her new lover is the woman Philip left to be with her.

A modern bedroom farce: "Bisexuality certainly increases the geometric possibilities of the romantic comedy, completing its triangles and allowing for quadrangles and other, more amorphous layers of amorous involvement... The filmmaker's niftiest trick is in making a group of neurotic, self-involved, overly verbal people so engaging. But then, you have to like a movie in which nerdy (albeit attractive) characters couple and uncouple with the profligacy of rabbits as they learn to navigate the territory that lies between the heart and the mind." -- Kevin Crust, LA Times

Lame, lame, lame! This movie aims at being transgressive but winds up being some silly little rom-com which reinforces all the cliched stereotypes about men, women, gay people, and straight people. The main characters states "I'm a lesbian!" about a bajillion times during the course of the film--who exactly is she trying to convince? The audience or herself? Oh, and annoyingly, throughout all the endless talk about homo vs. heterosexuality, bisexuality is mentioned once...in passing. Lame.

comedia inteligente. estilo woody allen triangulo amoroso, con referencias artisticas y personajes "sabiondos" y a la vez complicados y confluctuados x si mismos. me enamore de la actriz principal. este es mi primer review.

What a mess! Not the film--the situation the main character ends up in. This is one of the smarter romantic comedies I've seen, definitely worth a view. Plus, I love Justin Kirk and he plays another great character here.
