Ironclad (2011)

In the year 1215, the rebel barons of England have forced their despised King John to put his royal seal on the Magna Carta, a seminal document that upheld the rights of free men. Yet within months of pledging himself to the great charter, the King reneged on his word and assembled a mercenary army on the south coast of England with the intention of bringing the barons and the country back under his tyrannical rule. Barring his way stood the mighty Rochester castle, a place that would become the symbol of the rebel's momentous struggle for justice and freedom.

Loved it James Purefoy Rules, Blood & Mud does it get any better, me thinks not

A great movie. More than just battle porn, although the marketing team didn't seem to understand that. Giamatti plays the sublimely wrathful King John, asserting the divine right of kings with ruthless violence. A believable and compelling figure, not a stock villain. Purefoy is excellent as the disillusioned Templar Thomas, who has returned from the pointless slaughter of the Crusades unsure who he is, but very sure of his sword. After John has the tongue cut out of Thomas' spiritual mentor, a pious old man attempting to make peace, it's on. Kate Mara plays the ravishing princess, withering on the vine of a sexless marriage to an old fool, who is determined to show Thomas that she is "not a sin." Overall, a compelling and historically realistic drama, with important political and spiritual undertones.

Extremely gory and sadistic, but fun nonetheless, with breath-taking siege sequences and a plot that doesn't take itself too seriously

Great action movie, based in a real events, maybe is not with top actors of the media, but great actors, great action, we learn some history at least this movie makes sense, lately I have been disappointed with movies like the last Hunger Games, waist of money to watch, just makes no sense in the end. This movie have sense at least, well done.
