There's a heavy subcultural influence in this film, so the language is colloquial and the depictions not quite everyone's cup-of-tea. It is however a very stylish production that compliments the often criminal activities taking place and the desperate situations that often exist for the group of characters. It can a fascinating watch at times.

Out of balance by being too heavy and dark. After a while it started to get a little stupid by going too far one way into intense negativity to a level where it loses everything.

theres a lot of these nitty gritty brit gangster flicks out now. This is exeptional, highly entertaining, well made and worth watching.

Ill Manors is poorly made and self-indulgently long at nearly two hours. Its sense of hectoring self-importance is deeply alienating and, frankly, ill-mannered.

It may be slow in parts and its heart-sinking scenarios won't fill you with cheer, but it has bags of style and a terrific soundtrack from promising debut director Drew. It might just kickstart a few acting careers, too.
