Even though this film was in black and white, it was moving and emotionally vibrant as any color film I have ever seen. I agree with the critics that Hayward's acting was spectacular, though she did seem a bit too old and at times too histrionic for her role.

Robert Wise un director versÃ til dirige magistralmente este drama con una Susan Hayward en uno de sus mejores papeles de condenada a muerte. Destaca una excelente banda sonora.

One of the most amazing films of the 50's. The soundtrack was superb; Susan Hayward is incredible as she portrays the role of a convicted murderer..and Oscar well deserved! Everyone should see this!
