Soderbergh's approach is a little too stripped-down - when you're making a conventional genre movie, the absence of conventional genre elements becomes distracting in itself.

A fantastic movie the acting is great. A great action thriller with an end that is very odd and opens up for a sequel the movie in my mind will be the most undeasted movie of the year but Gina Carrono for her first big role was great the best person in the entire movie.

An original approach to an action movie: You actually see what's going on! Instead of going for the industry norm of fast cuts and close-ups, Soderbergh opts to pull the camera back so we can appreciate the physicality of each action scene. A great soundtrack and a laid-back approach to direction rounds out this quietly intense action film that is hindered only by a stilted performance from Carano, slow pace, and some plot holes.
