Great film! It is not a typical hollywood movie trying to keep the attention of 13 year old boys. It's well edited and cut to the perfect length. Similiar to the Bourne Identity films, but much more realistic. If they can retain the same cast, I would look forward to seeing Haywire 2.

Carano is nothing special as an actress - but darned if it matters when she's supported by a killer screenplay, a sharp cast, and Steven Soderbergh's unmistakably sly, mordant direction.

Soderbergh excels at making great movies with people who can't act that well (Example: pornstar Sasha Grey in The Girlfriend Experience). The plot carries MMA fighter Gina Carano's performace very well.

Yes, the story of a professional killer (ok, her mission was to rescue someone but deep down she's an assassin) who must get even with colleagues who have double crossed her/him is nothing new but this film just does this with brilliant flair. Gina Carano's performance, Steven Soderburgh's direction and David Holmes music all add up to a perfectly executed piece of entertainment. While completely different in so many ways, this film is equally ranked alongside 'The Artist' as my top films so far of 2012.

Underappreciated. Maybe slower than what you would expect from a slick action thriller, but the approach is unique and Gina Carano is finally a female action hero that we can believe. Sexy, but physically able.
