I've said a LOT of bad things about Michael Bay, but to tell the truth, The Rock is one of the best action films I've ever seen. It provides all of the bad-ass glory that comes from Nichoas Cage and Sean Connery working together while still being an inventive adventure. Everything is well shot and the action is non-stop, providing a 2 hour film that does not in any way feel dragged out. Unlike Michael Bay's other films, the humor is well-balanced and fits with the movie's theme. You should totally rent this film or even buy it; it is 100% entertainment.

Le meilleur film d'action des annÃ©es 90, casting de grand luxe, musique de qualitÃ©, un scÃ©nario presque profond pour un film du genre et Ã©videment de l'action en continu. MalgrÃ© ses 14 ans le film a trÃ¨s bien vieilli, n'hÃ©sitez pas Ã revoir Sean "vieux" au mieux de sa forme.

Another one of those great movies I hadn't seen in the past 15 years and just remembered as "really good" but not much else. Significantly better than I remembered. Great acting team. And I can't honestly remember the last time I saw an action movie this good. Seems like any I've seen in recent years have been over the top and more funny than anything. This has some real tension and adrenaline in it.

Audio/visual unsynchronised (At 1h 27 mins) While Agent Goodspeed is describing the horrible effects of VX gas, the part where he says "it melts your skin off" does not match his mouth movements, and sounds different than the rest of the audio (since real VX gas does not melt skin (see above), it was probably added to make VX gas seem scarier to the audience).
