I never knew much of Grace Kelly besides that she was an actress. Now I'm sure this movie exaggerates something's but I have a new found love and respect for this woman. As for this movie I thought the casting was done perfectly. Nicole Kiman is amazing and beautiful as always. The only thing I didn't like was some of the camera angle choices were weird and made the scenes less powerful.

The film traces Kelly's path from being a fairy tale bride to being a put-upon wife who gleefully defers her dreams to maintain her ingrate husband's status.

Is it a comedy? No. Is it a political drama? No. Is it a faithful biopic. Not really. It's.... It's... Derek Jacobi playing an historian/ acting coach/ fixer in a make-over montage. Naturally. So glad he didn't need to mess with the manicured face rug and smoking jacket combo that he's been sporting since birth.

Kidman seemed a natural choice to play Kelly. She manages to soar in several scenes. Hampered by the subpar material, she seems utterly lost, unable to master what could have been the role of her career.
