Tom Cruise delievers outstanding strength in his portrayal of Ron Kovic which is done powerfully. A great Oliver Stone movie. Its emotional but yet surrounded by happiness on what the character is archieving in his return from the war of Vietnam despite his trauma. Great movie, very touching and moving and its a war based drama picture that will never be forgotten. Courage is a word to describe the superior that is Kovic. Probably Tom Cruises best performance.

i've come to dispise tom cruise but the story is ture well played and i had the honor of hearing ron kovic speak in 1973 where i had marched behind thousands of vietnam veterans against the war at the huge. largely uncovered, protest in dc on Nixon's inauguration day.

i know this movie has been out for a long time, i just recently watched it. oliver stone did an amazing job showing the graphic reality of how war vets are treated. ronnie kovic was a hero in vietnam and he was a hero when he came home and stood up for what he believed in. this movie was awesome and it might change the way you look at things.

This is without a doubt my favorite Oliver Stone movie. It has all of the passion and and emotional depth in ten minutes that most Vietnam movies try to attain for 2 hours. Tom Cruise played an amazing Ron Kovic, you were able to see the entire breakdown and redemption of his character. I loved the message of the movie, it wasn't so much about action and physical damage of the war. It was about the complete destruction of hope for so many individuals. It's so heartbreaking to see such a good person have to suffer through so much.
