Very touching movie... Def. a classic. I wish I had seen this sooner! Sigourney Weaver really did a good job as Dian Fossey, and I love the way the tragic aspects of this was handled. (Even if they DID change the details of her murder to be more palatable to the viewer.) It makes such a horrible thing a lot easier to watch and to reflect on. Excellent movie.

Like so many of her wonderful performances, Sigourney should have especially won the Oscar for this one. Maybe the most deserving of actresses out there without a statue.

An amazing film with an amazing performance by Sigourney Weaver. In my opinion it's the saddest movie I've ever seen, so sad that I refuse to watch it ever again. Just thinking about one scene in particular makes me tear up, and then I get too angry for words....after watching "Gorillas In The Mist", I wanted to go out and poach poachers.

massively formative for me as a teenager, and this shit holds up really well, too. perhaps a bit too...flattering of a biopic, but Dian Fossey was amazing so who cares if you wanna kiss her posthumous ass a bit?
