Everything about this movie screams 'independent feature.' But often times, it's the indie's that are the jewel's and far more worth checking out whatever's playing at the multiplex that week. I love movies like this. No CGI, no special effects, no sprawling budgets or big stars. No need for any of that. Just a sad, simple story told with skill and fantastically naturalistic performances. In this story, one man wants to die, another man wants to save him. That's about it. It asks questions it doesn't answer directly, but I think it still answer's them clearly in a different way. It answer's them without answering them. It requires you to read between the lines, so to speak. Anyway, I loved this movie. I was engaged and entertained and touched by it all the way through. Check this out.

I like this quote from Ebert's review: "A film like this makes me wonder if we are coming to the end of the facile, snarky indie films. We live in desperate times. We are ready to respond to films that ask that question. How do you live in this world?" This film has mysterious power. So dead-on in every single way.

The Single most realistic cinematic experience I have ever seen, if that makes sense. The acting was brilliant, the screenplay was phenomenal. It does throw you right into the story but it works and allows the story to move along at the right pace, it never moves slow. The editing was phenomenal, I have never seen a movie like this be edited so perfectly. The cinematography and lighting were the most spectacular I have seen in any indie film I have seen recently. The directing was spot on. Basically the movie is tender,gripping,sad and fantastic. Please do yourself a favor and see this movie NOW.
