Lucky to have gone to Walker Art Center's showing when the director, Ramin Bahrani introduced the movie and took questions afterwards. Made the film even more special. Moving, current day real life story of true friendship.

One of the most unique and unnoticed films of 2009. Solo is easily one of the most likeable characters in any movie I've seen. This film has no flashy gimmicks or cheap plot turns, just a pure representation of the human spirit. Do yourself a favor and see this low budget gem.

One of the greatest films of this or any decade. I have seen Bahrani's two other films, and think that they are wonderful as well. However, even they are not comparable to Goodbye Solo, which brilliantly explores the theme of overwhelming, unfixable loneliness and the passing of generations in modern day America. A.O. Scott said that this was an "almost perfect film".
