I honestly don't understand why people require a sophisticated human story arc in a Godzilla film. Went to see it tonight with mrs and we both had a blast. If you're in for an epic monster showtime you won't be disappointed. The pace is good and I actually felt kind of a monster tension thoughout the film.

The original Japanese version is the best! It's a completely different story from the American version. Also, by listening to the commentary, I've picked up more of the cultural nuances that are not apparent to American audiences. Fascinating how the Japanese psyche was post WWII in reaction to this movie.

Amazing shots and close ups and full action packed and adds monsters from the old movies

The original and by far the best. The most serious and influential Godzilla film. More horror than sci-fi and I actually like the fact that you don't see the main villian (Godzilla) until half way through the movie.

The best American Godzilla movie. The monsters and the fights are great. The human story was okay. The movie loyal to the Toho universe. I can't wait to see Kong vs Godzilla.
