A classic disney animation telling two tales, one of a bear in a travelling circus and the other is mickey and the beanstalk. Set up differently to other disney films, fun and fancy free is a narrative story telling of two separate stories. A great film that shows just how far disney has come.

More like what you would watch on the tv . This film still delivers great laughs and a great final performance with Mickey being voiced by Walt Disney.

Financially struggling in the late 1940's, Disney Studios churned out a number of films that were frankensteined together from partially completed projects. The first part of this film, which is narrated by pop singer Dinah Shore, focuses on a circus bear that finds love after he runs away to the woods. The second bit, narrated by ventriloquist Edgar Bergen, finds Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy going through the paces of "Jack & The Beanstalk". The two disparate segments are united by sequences featuring Jiminy Cricket. Most consider this patchwork feature to be one of Disney's lesser efforts, but it does have some enjoyable elements. Its success also helped the studio finance more enduring films such as Cinderella, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland.

[Blu-ray Review] Disney's 2-in-1 Blu-ray release of "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" and "Fun & Fancy Free" is an irresistible deal that should become a mainstay in any Disney fan's high-def library.

much better than some of the previous offerings (Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros) the best of the fables being the Beanstalk story - not in classic territory though
