One of Peter Jackson's best movies. It's a brillant little mockumentary. Very clever, very funny. It's particularly appealing to film history fans like myself, but I've watched with "other kinds of people" who also loved it.

Peter Jackson like we used to know him. Really funny documentary that really requires some degree of intelligence to enjoy. Good work.

Fantastic. Remains funny everytime I see it, but unlike many 'mockumentaries', this has a real heart. Parallels perhaps, does Jackson project some of himself (a taste for the epic, a cinematic pioneer, a truly self made filmmaker) into McKenzie? We'll never know. Great film.

So, someone showed me this but didn't tell me it was a mockumentary. Very very mean. I don't see why Peter Jackson needed to bother with that whole LOTR phase when he had quality stuff like this and Meet the Feebles already under his belt.

What's in a name? Worth seeking out, this is a great story of one of NZ's unknown innovators in a carefully crafted and very entertaining documentary.
