Though at first glance this ironically-sweet-and-very-sour mix might seem unappetizing, even repellent, it soon becomes fascinating in its oddball complexity.

Enthralling and effortlessly relevant, Birdboy is a searing contemporary fantasy, and often unrelenting in its savage attacks on greed, acquisitiveness, the disposable society, and some not-so-subtle jabs at Spanish Catholicism.

Great animation, breathtaking dark atmosphere and great portion of emotions.

It’s Adventure Time meets Samurai Jack which sounds awesome but I would rather just go watch the aforementioned shows. I like the animations just don’t watch the trailer beforehand which shows everything cool in the movie. Or just watch the trailer and slip the movie.

Alberto Vázquez and Pedro Rivero's film is a phantasmagoria of impressionistic horror, at once despairing, beautiful, haunting, and surreal.
