Could watch all the way through...so sad...the book was better I think...they need to remake it!

I'm quite fond of this underappreciated period romance. Linda Darnell really gets a chance to show off her impressive acting chops here, and shows she was quite the talented actress. George Sanders also gives and excellent performance, one of his best.
