The movie is good but not as good as the series. The animation is beautiful, the music is great, and the action scenes are cool.

It is not as great as the series, but it is classic. Prepare yourself for a darker and completely different atmosphere. Soundtrack is wonderful, and it goes perfectly with the animation.

The plot of Escaflowne's tv series is somewhat better than the movie, but it's still good. It's like a medieval fantasy just with a touch of sci-fi thrown in.
