By far one of my favorite movies, and directors, I admire a lot of techniques used by the infamous Russ meyer. Allthough the film has nothing to do with Jaquelyn suzanne's The valley of the dolls, it follows a similar story of a few young girls fresh in L.A infiltrating the music industry, The movie came out post Darkness L.A, (i.e Manson Murders, Hillside strangler) so the movies end takes that toll of the times it was written, oh yeah this is also the only script ever written by Roger Ebert.

Completely genius satire/melodrama. One of the most uproarious and absurd and brilliant American films. To think that the studio system allowed this kind of freedom at one point. Just too much fun.

Great sound track, great framing, sets, costumes, a twisted storyline full of memorable one liners, spills, chills, pills ... a classic. The all time best B-movie ever in my book.
