It is hard to remember a picture in which the sheer pictorial punch was greater than it is in this three-hour exhibition of kings and warriors in medieval Spain.

Grandeur and epic storytelling. Watch it as good old fund. Don't expect nuances when it comes to depicting religious or political views.

A tightly structured thriller with a brilliantly moody performance by Jeanne Moreau, and depending on your point of view, it's either one of the few genuine French noir films or an early entry in the New Wave.

This is one of the greatest movies of all time. The music is great, the acting is great, the battles scenes are great, the story is great. This is one of my favorite movies. The ending scene is the best part of any movie ever made. I still get chills when Charlton Heston rides out of the gates at the end. If I could I would rate this movie ten out of five stars.
