Hong Chau is exceptional in this film, a star turn for sure. She is the heart and soul of Downsizing, providing both laughs and heartfelt emotion. I think the reason the audience score is currently so low on this film, is due to it being marketed as different film than the one it actually is. But the film that it is, I found to be a moving experience.

I really liked it, it touched me. I thought it would turn out to be a silly "what if" movie but the topics and the "small people" problems are as real as our current ones. I think the ones that didn't like it were not expected a movie for grown ups with black humour and even politic statements.

I loved it. I also was a huge fan of Mother! So take my view as just that. But the performances were great and concept was unique. Keep politics out of it, roll with the concept, and the humanity of the players is touching.

I donï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)t know why everyone doesnï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)t love this movie itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s hilarious and touching. Especially love the Vietnamese survivor, absolutely unique and funny. Itï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s so unusual to find a movie representing a Christian in such a positive light.....what the hell people! Whatï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s not to love?
