Pacing is fine, it's slow, but interesting. Middle class white male America set up for the draft probably makes the movie more accessible for people who can effectively change actual issues pertaining to the film.

A modern take on a previously difficult subject that takes a few turns for the better. An unexpectedly good film.

Poignant and thought provoking and for the most part its a good story following three quite differnt characters and how the draft affects them. Ultimately its Wood's story that lets down in the end as it comes out of nowhere. Not bad though.

This made me think quite a bit. If there was a draft and either I or someone close had to go I am not sure how I would deal with it. Good performances by the cast, but Elijah didn't fit the role to me. It was good to see Ally Sheedy. This movie is good, but I think I would've liked it better if I wasn't depressed by it and the idea that it could happen.
