One of the chillest and most interesting blends of hard sci-fi with fantasy. There's a lot of moments for viewers to contemplate much like Koyaanisqatsi. The way this film uses real footage for its story shows a mastery of editing and is one of the more creative films I've seen in awhile. Close minded people should probably avoid this; at first glance it seems like random shit, but I think it is safe to say that everything was carefully chosen. In that there are some funny but subtle jokes to be found.

I don't see why nobody likes this. I really liked it, even if it was kinda nonsensical. The shots were gorgeous and truly eye-pleasing. This was a treat for your inner mind and your eyes as opposed to the story itself. The colours were vibrant and captivating on the planet. And Brad Dourif... I wouldn't be surprised if he really was an alien with that performance.

I like the idea. I wasn't thrilled by the execution.

C'mon .. you have to hand it to mr. Herzog.. he's stripped it down to one camera and stock footage. Compare that to fitzcarraldo.. at least nobody died this time out and those underwater scenes are amazing. Three Stars for Werner!

Drivel! Pure psychobabble. 1 star for space footage.
