But when Dark Horse leaves the feel-good realm to show news footage of a failed miners’ strike, or to have the camera linger on the impoverished surroundings where Dream Alliance’s owners still dwell, it suggests that it will take more than a few fairy tale finishes for their reality to change.

I usually don't see documentaries in the movie theatre and prefer to wait for them to be on line for free. But, we decided to see this one and I"m glad we did. Blue collar everyday workers in a small England town, band together and breed a racehorse and then, surprisingly, become celebrities when Dream Alliance wins big. It's cool to see these people hobnobbing with the aristocracy who really could care less and won't give them the time of day. But, they have to when they start to win...Very inspiring with the little guy against the snobs...and I love that sort of thing!
