Dear Wendy (2005)

In a blue-collar American town, a group of teens bands together to form the Dandies, a gang of gunslingers led by Dick Dandelion. Following a code of strict pacifism at odds with the fact that they all carry guns, the group eventually lets in Sebastian, the grandson of Dick's childhood nanny, Clarabelle, who fears the other gangs in the area. Dick and company try to protect Clarabelle, but events transpire that push the gang past posturing.

Thomas Vinterberg directs superbly this script by Trier! what will happen if you give guns to some teenagers?

To the casual viewer one might think that is this an anti-american movie specially considering that it is written by Lars Von Tier they might be right,but I think it's more than that. I look at it not only as an anti-gun movie but also america's love affair with firearms in genral take in account the fact the dandies uses pistol's to go up again heavy armed police officers at the end..there is so much said in this movie it's no wonder it's lost on most people.

Yes, this movie had some questionable parts, but I enjoyed it immensely. The relationship between him and Wendy (his gun) is beautiful. Things could have turned out differently. I don't think the while shoot out needed to happen. I loved that the whole soundtrack was the Zombies. Michael Angarano was hilarious as always!

the story makes no sense and depends upon people acting based on some crazed Dane's mental stereotype of Americans rather than actual human beings.
