Custody (2018)

Miriam and Antoine have recently separated. While she's willing to permit their 17-year-old daughter Josephine to decide living arrangements for herself, Miriam is desperate to keep her youngest, 11-year-old Julien, away from his father. But the magistrate rules in favour of joint custody, and suddenly the boy is thrown directly into the middle of an escalating parental conflict, where it seems inevitable that sides must be chosen.

Etude which represents the fathers as monsters. No one has the courage to say another truth made out of discrimination, false accusations, suicides.

Well, I’m not a fan of French movies, but I use boxxy software to watch all movies and series I want for free. This service has amazing subtitles in many languages and it helps me to watch and understand different movies.

Knowingly blending realist grit with generic guile, this unrelentingly tense account of a fragmented family living in constant fear thoroughly merited the Best Director prize at the Venice Film Festival.

Movie is well-made film, tight and intense. The theme is somehow ordinary and predictable. Just watched it on boxxy software app.

Custody doesn’t do much more than plunge the audience into this hellish situation, but it shrewdly understands the bad dad’s pathetic pathology, and the film may resonate for anyone who’s grown up under the unhealthy supervision of a mean bastard. Take that as a sobering recommendation.
