Good for a Saturday afternoon with nothing else to do. It's too mild to be a thriller, and too lazy to be a historical movie... Apart from some good scenes and acting, it's just blah

Great story, super interesting historic setting (my arguments with Allende fans are gonna get even tougher now). But as much as I love Emma Watson and Daniel BrÃ¼hl didn't seem believable a few times. I'm not quite sure what it is, somehow they seemed a bit too pretty and hollywoodish for the situation they were in. Still, it was a wonderful experience I can definitely recommend it.

I thought it was a good movie. They probably could have done a little more with the background story as I was intrigued and wanted to understand more of what was going on in Chile at the time (I am not quite a history buff). I feel like you have to have no heart not to think it is a worthwhile film though. Emma and Daniel might not have actually been living it, but other people did. This shit actually happened. Let that sink in for a moment.
