Paris 1913. Coco Chanel is infatuated with the rich and handsome Boy Capel, but she is also compelled by her work. Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring is about to be performed. The revolutionary dissonances of Igor's work parallel Coco's radical ideas. She wants to democratize women's fashion; he wants to redefine musical taste. Coco attends the scandalous first performance of The Rite in a chic white dress. The music and ballet are criticized as too modern, too foreign. Coco is moved but Igor is inconsolable.

Un romance sin romance... creo que le falta alma a este film, aún así tiene aspectos positivos, como ser el vestuario.

This movie definitely deserves an award in cinematography! All the designs are awesome, ranging from fashion, interior, the play and the outdoor scene. No doubt the fashion and taste by Coco Chanel is absolutely sensible and graceful, but the house was also seemingly telling the character of Coco of being a famous fashion designer: strong, rigid, independent, and self-centered. Anna Mouglalis might not need to use too much facial expression to tell her feeling, still her body build and make up drastically help her in her acting. On the other hand, Mads Mikkelsen as a Danish actor might need a lot of effort in practicing piano, speaking French and Russian to play a great musician. I love the story. The play about The Rite of Spring is definitely memorable. It showed a lot of hard work for the director and photographer thinking how to tell the story and shoot the progress of the play.

The film overall was average, but if you look at the actors/characters independently and the fashions of the film then it is brilliant! I admire and adore Coco Chanel's independence and style!

Dosadnije od onog prvog. Napravljeno po fictional noveli. Super snimljeno, super stajlis i chanelasto, pretrpano fashion detaljima. ViÅ¡e se radi o Å¾ivotu Stravinskog. Ona prva Coco 2008 Barbora Bobulova bila zrtva nesretnog zivota onda se izborila do svog statusa - heroina sa naznakama drskosti i zajebanog karaktera. Aj spojili su to nekako. Ana Mouglalis 2009 - Bescutna, bahata kucka. Prelipa i prehladna. Ali svi je vole jer je darezljiva? Slabo izvedeno. I jos mi ostaje Audrey Tautou - koja izgledon baca na Barboru i nema sanse da odglumi ista drugo osim simpaticne curice. Ajde bas me zanima.
