The Nutty Professor is just plain dumb fun, with not much more of a purpose than to get a rise out of the audience and make them laugh. The movie doesn't try any harder than it should.

Murphy's best movie. The scene where he gets back at the Stand up comic is in my top ten scenes of all time.
