Decades later, it's easy to see why this Maria Montez exotic adventure became a cult item and a campy picture for gay and straight viewers.

The delicious B Grade adventure movie that's a little silly but still some fun. Full of interesting costumes & some gorgeous technicolor scenes & although the plot is folly the films moves fast & it's a fun watch. Maria Montez was great playing the infamous cobra woman with flair & style and although she isn't a great actress she played it well. Considering this was filmed all in LA it's incredible how well they pulled it off it's looks like a lost island.

Wonderful, wonderful fun in this camp and creaky melodrama. Maria Montez is glamorous, and Sabu is funny in a gauche kind of way. The score is sumptuous, the dancing ridiculous - Indiana Jones would have been very different without this kind of movie.

Ultra hokey grade "Z" movie, poorly acted with a luducrous plot. Not bad enough to be a good "bad" film, not plausible enough to be entertaining. This film has a following of fans and it escapes me as to why.
