Alex, Marty, and other zoo animals find a way to escape from Madagascar when the penguins reassemble a wrecked airplane. The precariously repaired craft stays airborne just long enough to make it to the African continent. There the New Yorkers encounter members of their own species for the first time. Africa proves to be a wild place, but Alex and company wonder if it is better than their Central Park home.

Repitiendo la fórmula de la primera entrega, el filme prefiere apostar sobre seguro y dar más de lo mismo. Quizá hace falta un giro genial a la historia, pero en este caso, la linealidad es lo que le da la talla a la cinta.

excellent secquel, its difficult for the sequels to follow the origional, but this film carries it off brilliantly! would watch this over and over, separated only by the first one, all day!

I love this movie!!!! Gosh, it's so funny. I was pretty impressed when i watched this because I remember how much I hated the first one.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was so ridiculous that it was good. 90% of it was nonstop laughter, but there were some cheesy bits in it. If you're looking for a fun movie to watch, and your in the mood to laugh super hard, this Madagascar sequel is a good choice.
