A pretty solid effort from Eli Roth. First time in a long time I wasn't annoyed by the main characters. They actually seemed like real people. The writing was decent enough, but the makeup effects are probably what really made this film a pleasurable experience. You can't not enjoy watching a Clown mass murder children at a Chuckie Cheese. Never realized how creepy the lighting in that place was. Would probably pick it up on BD when it drops down to like 10 bucks. If you're a Roth fan I definitely recommend it. Even if you're not but you enjoy clown movies and the like give it a redbox rental at the least. It's a fun waste of 100 mins.

This movie deserves more praise for having a serious tone since some people consider it as some kind of joke. The use of practical effects and make-up are outstanding. "Clown" goes straight to the point and progresses at a good pace and doesn't cut back on the gore and violence. All in all, it's an easy to watch fun horror flick.

quite honestly, out of all the clown movies i've seen lately, this one is NOT bad -- it's not bad at all. the clown is actually really scary once he's fully transformed. the idea is fairly original too -- it starts off feeling like a spoof of sorts, but gets pretty serious by the end of it. i didn't hate it.

Clown 2016 This is a real dark horror movie. excellent story. Nothing run of the mill here. definitely worth watching.
