This movie means a lot for me cause I'm from Hungary, and although I never experienced the revolution 1956 I can feel the pain that it caused when I see the movie...

Engrossing film which encompasses the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and showcases the "blood in the water" 1956 Melbourne Olympic water polo match between Hungary and Russia. Hungary has an appalling history of oppression and this movie shows a touching human side to their tragic past.

I thought the movie is quite interesting. Very intense period in Hungary. It is interesting how the pick up some real events in history and make it into a love story. But I would have love to see a true story throughout the movie. Hope that history don't repeat though.

A Hungary flick about Hungary's heroic Revolution of 1956, as well as the famous 'Blood In The Water' match (a water polo match between Hungary and the USSR at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics). Average in general.

Arguably quite Hollywodised but still fairly enjoyable and quite interesting being that i was unaware of the event (did i learn anything during History at school?)
