I have never seen anything like this. James Franco is Ginsberg. I mean he *is* Ginsberg. The movie as a whole, however, is just wonderful. I mean, the poem comes alive here. The movie is a performance of the poem and it is just stunning.

Howl is very, very, good. Worth seeing if you love writing, if you've ever written, if you're intrigued by the creative process as a whole.

Powerfully acted and visually appealing.James Franco is spot on as Allen Ginsberg.An interesting way to convey the poem and the man.Howl feels like a documentary and has the soul of a very personal project.
