Great movie, really very interesting. Though I have high objections on the Israelis & Egyptians negotiations, with the usual unfair image of good Israelis- bad Egyptians, but the movie as a whole was really very attracting, and informative. And I especially liked the ending with his unsuccessful trial of continuing his efforts after the war, and how that affected the whole world afterwards.

A well made docudrama about the Cold War and the man who secretly was the cause of the fall of the Soviet Empire and the victory of the Afghans. Anyone who likes Cold War stuff, I would highly recommend this movie. All the performances are fantastic, and the humour from Tom Hanks and especially from Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a very warming addition to the film.

Tom hanks makes me wonder what a great actor has to have to become a great actor. Good looks great acting and mind-blowing screen presence and the movie was what Tom hanks is ----larger than life

Entertaining and very informative. I recommend it for anyone interested in politics in general and the afghan/soviet war in particular.

Went to see this movie with my Dad, who actually knows Charlie. He loved it and so did I. Great story and really makes you think. It is not a movie for people who have to ask a lot of questions. Really gives you a picture of what goes on behind the scenes in politics.
