Coarse and haphazardly engineered and never more than intermittently funny.

Two potent actors can't salvage this unfocused script whose satiric jabs miss their targets and which is effective neither as thriller nor as farce.

Fairly weak comedy where a car salesman sympathises with a meathead that makes a ridiculous attempt at a hostage situation, uses his sales skills to navigate his way through it, and it all winds up becoming a great turning point in his life. Basically an attempt at reimagining Dog Day Afternoon with a happy ending that turns out as a bit of a mess.

I know a lot of people did not like this movie at all, but I found plenty of entertaining moments in it anyway. Is this Robin Williams best work? Not even close! However, it is not as bad as it is made out to be either.
