Every time I read a short story by Stephen King I am always amazed at how he can craft a story. And when I find out that the short story will be made into a film the first thought that enters my mind is: How the hell are they going to pull that off? Even though this is a straight to dvd film Dolan's Cadilac a very well crafted film. A little more time and money and this would've been a very good thriller with a theatrical release. It's a straight up revenge story. And what make's this film interesting is that its not too way over the top. If you're a Stephen King fan and have read this short story the film is based on give it a try. If you like good thrillers then try this. It is well worth a rental.

The two lead actors (Christian Slater especially, who surprised me with his great performance) are fun to watch go head to head and the Stephen King story it's based on differs enough from the standard revenge flick to make the film a bit more compelling than it could have been. Not bad for a direct-to-DVD film.

Cracking little movie. Harsh revenge drama, simple story executed very well by Slater and Bentley. I loved it, great stuff.
