This movie is simply hilarious. From the reviews I have read, people took it far too seriously. A movie about Ty Burrell as a master butter art sculptor is in no way meant to be taken seriously. This film pokes into the satirical style a few times, but overall stays as one of those over-the-top, ridiculous-yet-hilarious-characters type of films. It is hilarious and is really a movie that uses a silly plot to provide a setting for great comedy--in a good way. This movie is filled with jokes, and the plot is insignificant. If you came into this expecting to care about a butter sculpting competition, then I am not sure what movie is for you. Watch this movie expecting a lot of great scenes that could stand alone in any movie as comedy gold.

I had never heard of this movie, but was impressed when I read the names in the cast, so I decided to give it a shot. Really glad I did, because while the plot is understated to say the least, it's a refreshing, cute little film that's more or less harmless and has some truly funny moments. I really enjoyed this film.

This movie is AMAZING. Stop what you're doing and go watch it right now. It's on Netflix so you have no reason not to. If you don't have an account you probably have an uncle who does. Anyway, this one has it all. Jennifer Garner, strippers, sex-induced car accidents, sabotage, rescission tension, Alice Cullen from twilight makes an appearnece or two, and yes-lots of butter. 5 out of 5 butter-carved stars for this freaking masterpiece.

Jennifer Garner's character was well acted out, very different from her other roles. The storyline of the movie is very different from others and why it has proven to me to be a good film is that it is not pretentious nor predictable. It is also a good change of pace as it not a story about a lame underdog.

I can't believe the vast majority of the reviews, perhaps people don't like comedies. A friend and I watched Pitch Perfect on a Friday and Butter on a Saturday and laughed very hard many times. If you like to laugh, and like movies like Best in Show, Pitch Perfect etc you will enjoy this.
