I rated this movie before but this is what I really think about it. This is one of those rare incidences where the remake of a film is better then the original. To me I have to say this is one of those films. The 2010 version of Nightmare gives you more information...it fills you in with the story of Freddy. It tells the tale of what happened to him, why he was burned, and why he is chasing these kids and killing them in their dreams. This movie gives more of a visual affect towards those questions. In the original it very briefly goes by that Freddy worked at a preschool. This film they go in depth and with just those two words "in depth"....for me, it makes this movie a hell of a lot better then the original. It is possibly one of my best horror films so good bye 1984 version say hello to the new Freddy :)

Easily the best remake of any movie I have EVER seen. The Friday the 13th remake was good but this is golden. It's my 5th favorite A Nightmare on Elm Street because its a remake that doesn't copy the movie scene for scene but doesn't make it seem like a whole new movie. It's genius. I like Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy but he's no Robert Englund. But I was expecting that and I don't see why this movie gets such bad reviews I mean where you expecting an equal to the original? It's a highly overrated movie and should be taken for what it is.

I am a freddy Freak! I have the ox set of all of the originals! Movie Night anyone? ...IF only the the original Robert Englund was playing Freddy! :(

it was awesome!!! they changed the character some and really made it darker. compareable to the first is awesomeness and I am a huge Freddy fan. loved it!!!
