This was Abbott and Costello's first star outing and was a huge success guaranteeing thier popularity for years to come. It was also the first of four films they made in 1941. Herbie and Slicker join the army and go through basic training. In addition to their army shenanigans are several musical interludes by the 40's singing trio The Andrews Sisters and a romantic angle. Standout routines include the 'dice game', 'can you lend me $50' and the drill sequence.

Funny Abbott & Costello movie...although it is not listed here I thought their best film was "Time Of Their Lives"

HA! You gotta love Abbot and Costello! This movie proves that you do not have to put explicit jokes in a movie to make it funny! Way to go, Abbot and Costello! The Andrews sisters put the cherry on top with their singing and dancing!

All I can say is I grew up with Abbott and Costello and I love them. This is the greatest version of slapstick I've ever seen!
