Dracula, A pretty decent gothic styled movie with a good plot and some very bloody scenes. Also, the cast are really great throughout this movie especially Jonathan Harker (Keanu Reeves) Finally, there's some very well put together bloody fight scenes and I'll give you this aswell, the makeup artists do a brilliant job on Dracula. Overall, it's a great horror/romance movie with some great bloody scenes, a good plot and a great cast to keep this great movie going.

I was really excited when I heard that there was a new Dracula coming out. Alas, this is pretty... um... sucky (no pun intended). It should be called "Made For TV Film with Characters with the Same Name as Those in Bram Stoker's Dracula But With Little Resemblance to the Plot of Said Book" I wouldn't mind if they did that and the changes were positive, but they're just... ???? Marc Warren is the only reason to watch this. His portrayal of Dracula is new and fresh and inspiring.

It's a visually stunning movie and still lives up in comparison to films nowadays but my lord, This has to be one of the worst acted movies I've ever seen. If it's not over-acting by the lead talent, It's the junk performance by Reeves that really drives it home. It's a hard film to finish because it's so laughably bad at times.

Even though the movie stays some-what true to Bram Stoker's classic book, the movie fails to bring any suspense or surprises to the table (Keanu Reeves still sucks at acting). It is hard, however, to look away from the brilliant costumes, make-up, and set designs. The film is great to look at, but the chilling mood from the book is still absent.

This Dracula isn’t from Coppola’s great 70s/80s period, but it has a melodramatic and operatic energy and draws on the look and feel of Hollywood’s pre-Code salaciousness and the silent movie madness of Nosferatu – though the expressionist shadows are blood-red, not black.
