Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966)

Whilst vacationing in the Carpathian Mountain, two couples stumble across the remains of Count Dracula's castle. The Count's trusted servant kills one of the men, suspending the body over the Count's ashes so that the blood drips from the corpse and saturates the blackened remains. The ritual is completed, the Count revived and his attentions focus on the dead man's wife who is to become his partner; devoted to an existence of depravity and evil.

I have seen so many Vlad Dracula movies to tell but they are all awesome!!!!

Alright film, but I couldn't help but notice that Christopher Lee doesn't have a single line in this film. He just walks around, yet still oddly entertaining.

Pretty much a perfect movie, the only reason it isn't five stars is because Peter Cushing isn't in it. Otherwise, this movie is brilliant and one of Hammer's perfect run of horror movies.

Dracula returns from the grave to menace some innocent Londoners on their holiday and thanks to a dull script mostly makes a bit of a fool of himself. While the atmosphere and performances are fine, the movie's weakened by not giving Dracula anything decent to do and a certain level of camp that makes it hard to take it seriously. (Poor old Helen!) While on a certain level it's fine, you'd be forgiven for expecting more from one of Hammer's most famous horror icons.

an average version of Dracula, not quite as chilling as it could be but just enjoy the true britishness of the cast. Christopher Lee as always is supremely creepy and chilling as the count is always a bonus for watching.
