Nice fluid feel and rhythm. The acting is much better than many horror flicks, and a nice level of suspense and mystery sustained throughout. Love the lighting and the updated cheap expletives.

Having never seen the original I went in with an open mind and nothing to compare it to except the bunch of horror movies that come out on the DTV market. Anyway this film starts a bit interesting and takes its time to develop the characters somewhat but it all slides downhill from there. After the titular demons appear they don't look that good or scary, more like goofy. Just by looking at the poster of the original you get that chill down your spine feeling so I know that the make-up effects were a million times better. It also starts mixing horror with a bit of comedy or campiness, which in my opinion ruins everything. The cast did a very good job with what they were given, except for Furlong which looks like he sleepwalked through every scene and looks like he does not belong with the rest of the cast. Another thing that bothered me was how Monica's character became an expert of everything all of a sudden, very distracting. It might be a good rental to kill time but do yourself a favor and watch the original I know I will.

I kind of liked this movie. It was entertaining. There were some MAJOR plot holes and I kinda wish that it was a bit more campy, but it wasn't bad. I loved the original, but I don't plan to watch either film again.

One of my all time favorite Horror movies is getting an update, Night of The Demons was never about the perfect acting rather it focuses an the effects and horror. The original Night of The Demons was about the funnest Horror movie of my childhood nothing but scary demons killing and chasing characters around the house. The remakes continues the tradition with keeping the effects without CGI and focusing on the makeup and horror. The remake is just as scary as the original but does not follow the same plot as it first, If your looking for a great Halloween Flick this should be on the list.

a fan of the lesser movies of late and the original on comparison I though it was translated to this generation very well plus Wednesday 13's gimme gimme bloodshed being played was a plus.
