Boy on a Dolphin (1957)

Phaedra is a poor sponge diver on the lovely Greek isle of Hydra. While diving, she discovers an ancient brass and gold statue of a boy riding a dolphin, which is said to have the magical power to grant wishes. In her American feature debut, a romantic advenure in the Greek Islands, the tall and sexy Sophia Loren starred with the short and declining Alan Ladd.

The very dated adventure/romance set in the Greek Islands. It isn't a bad film but other than some stunning backgrounds & locations this film truly does fall short. Casting for this film was peculiar but the story gets lost a little mid way and it has many pointless scenes pushing a love story between Loren & Ladd despite having little chemistry together. There where so nice scenes here and there but I wish there was more story on the boy on dolphin itself, not a bad film just nothing special.

Okay story is boosted by quality performers Clifton Webb and Sophia Loren in her big international breakthrough and dazzling Greek locations all in breathtaking color.
