Any movie that celebrates the power of music, friendship, family and all of that scientific stuff Kid Cudi keeps jabbering about has got to be somewhat welcome at this particular point in the space-time continuum, right?...Oh, and stay past the closing credits for a little extra excellence.

They came in fleeting glances, befuddled smiles and odd-timed pauses that the iconic pair share with each other before the movie shuffles them from one frenzied and inconsequential story beat to the next. In such stolen moments, you sense the depth of a friendship so profoundly felt and so deeply comforting that you think to yourself, I would follow these guys anywhere.

Truly a great film and in my opinion it's truly the best of the Trilogy and finally gives us the satisfactory ending we've been on a journey with them on for years. It wasn't bogus but was bodacious. I highly recommend it.

The movies have been so-so for the most part so I didn't go into this with high expectations. Needless to say, It was worst than I thought it'd be. The acting is below average at best with some of it being downright cringe-worthy. The plot honestly makes no sense. They're told to write a song to save the world and try to go back (really forward) in time to steal it from themselves. Well, Clearly they never wrote it in the first place which is why they summoned Bill and Ted hundreds of years into the future to scold them for being unable to do so. So from the premise alone, I was out. By the final act, I wanted to just skip until the end and I did. There were flashes early on of something decent but wow, this movie went into the toilet real quick.

A sequel of rare sincerity, Bill & Ted Face the Music avoids feeling like a craven reviving of a hollowed-out IP or a cynical reboot, mostly because its ambition is the stuff of affection—for what the filmmakers are doing, made with sympathy for their audience and a genuine desire to explore these characters in a new context. Maybe that’s the despair talking. Or maybe it’s just the relief of for once confronting the past and finding that it’s aged considerably well.
