There's something about this film that sticks in your mind. Be it the Musical score or the two fantastic preformances by Cage and Modine. Regardless of what catches you. I'm sure you'll come aways with something

Often forgotten as one of Nicholas Cage's first films, with Mathew Modine as his nerdy friend who goes off to Vietnam, and comes back as a psych patient. Soundtrack by Peter Gabriel, and well worth a rent if you can find it.

This played on the Movie Network this week and it was great to see it again after all these years. Cage never went back to doing this kind of vulnerable acting. Modine overacts a bit but shows us that he can do "mentally divergent". Great soundtrack. This lays out all the reasons why war isn't good for the soul.

Good story, good performances and even though it is quite heavy still manages to be uplifting.
