One of the best anime movies of all time. Akira inspired so many animes we now have today including Dragonball as well as hit blockbusters like the Matrix and Inception.

The breathtaking animation in this film is unfair to other Sci-Fi artists who have only CGI and practical effects to work with. From ink to paper, this gorgeous alternative history is breathed to life in a visceral culture that is one of a kind and un-reproducible.
