Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (2012)

The first Cylon war has been raging for 10 years and a young Ensign William Adama joins the fleet. Disappointed not to be assigned to a fighter but to a freighter, his co-pilot also isn't too keen on having a rookie flying his aircraft as he has only a short time before he again becomes a civilian. Their cargo is a civilian scientist, but they no sooner leave than she has new orders for them and a new destination. Although she's less than forthcoming about the details, Adama is keen—particularly as it involves going into Cylon controlled space. However, nothing is as it seems.

Great addition to the Battlestar story! Kick butt from the start to the end.....and then leaves you ready for more butt kicking! A must see for any BSG fan. Let's keep moving with Blood and Chrome...So say we all!

It was a good movie to watch;even better if your a BSG fan,CGI is great,chracters very likeable.Kept to the main story line of the BSG galaxy but felt it could have gone abit more deeper into backstory of the cyclon uprising. Especially those who are "New" to the Battlestar Galactica Universe! Still fun to watch and good starting point for New and Old fans alike! So Say We All!!

The excellent pilot for the abandoned prequel series to Battlestar Galactica. Set in the time of the First Cylon War, this sees the young William Adama joining his first ship, the then relatively new Battlestar Galactica. Much closer in style to BG and with much more entertaining action than the much slower moving earlier BG prequel Caprica, this could have been a great success if SyFy hadn't got cold feet about actually showing any Sci-Fi again.

Was really excited to get a fix of BSG after having finished the series, but no matter how much I wanted to like this, it fell flat on many levels. BSG was cerebral character-driven plot lines and this movie seemed like the opposite whereas the movie takes bits and pieces from the original and tries to tie it to an action-driven drama (there were some inconsistencies in using characters from the TV series). I like that they tried but overall I'm going to have to suppress memory of having watched it.
