If you haven't seen the Barbie movies, try them. They are very well made and bring back some great stories. This one is good for boys and girls.

Surpsingly good. I always appreciate how clean and innocent the Barbie movies are, but it is a bonus when you actually get artwork of this calibar (though computer generated) and pretty darn good music to boot! This is Barbie's 2nd musical and I can happily recommend them BOTH. The song, "I Need to Know" is a real standout. Unique, and one Disney might envy. The negatives? Annoying sidekicks, predictability, and, as always, a little heavy on the sugar.

Great songs, great story, vivid colours, some decent humour and a real sense of the South Seas. Barbie's gorgeous! I love it! Forget the standard of animation and the predictable nature: this is a proper animated musical. Make it into a live West End production!
